Four platforms, one price band, and a tutorial you can skip.

September Launch Day

BioEden is scheduled for 3 September 2026 as a day-and-date launch on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. Broken Arms Games developed it; Focus Entertainment publishes it. The product is a single-player cozy solarpunk management game: you land as a Keeper, recycle debris, wire solar and water, and raise extinct species inside biomes. It is a single-player campaign with no fail state and no generative AI in the art. Campaign length in the official FAQ is 15–20 hours.

This page is the morning briefing, not a second Getting Started. If you still need Charles to explain incubators, stay on the guides. If you need to know where the game will be, what it costs, and whether to skip the tutorial, stay here. The reveal trailer from the Future Games Show sits in the middle of this article so you can see the tone Focus actually showed, then come back to the checklist.

Day-one platforms and the console correction

The 6 June 2026 announcement paired a Future Games Show trailer with a playable Steam demo. Early FAQ text said 3 September 2026 on Steam, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 arriving later. That “later” line is the sentence most June recaps still quote. Storefronts and later publisher copy put the consoles on the same morning as Steam: 3 September 2026 on all four.

Plan around the current list. If you play on a television, wishlist the PlayStation or Xbox page now and ignore any tab that still says a console window is unannounced. If you play on PC, the Steam app page is the SKU that already lists DualSense support, Steam Cloud, achievements, and Family Sharing. Nintendo Switch 2 is in the same day-one set; this wiki will not invent a handheld resolution target or a docked frame-rate claim Focus has not published.

The Steam demo is not a console demo. Keepers on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, or Switch 2 who want a rehearsal still have to use a PC, or wait for 3 September 2026. That is the practical split: the tutorial is playable on Steam today; the campaign is scheduled everywhere on the same Thursday.

Price, pre-order, and what Steam already lists

Listed price is $21.99 / £17.99 / €21.99. Steam has been running a 9% pre-order discount until launch, which is why some carts show $19.99 instead of $21.99. Regional storefronts can round differently; treat the three figures above as the publisher band and confirm the live number on Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox before you pay. This wiki is unofficial and will not freeze a sale that Focus can end.

Pre-order on Steam is the only PC reservation that matters. Console pages are for wishlists until the morning of the 3rd. Family Sharing is listed for the full Steam product, so a household that already shares a library can treat BioEden like other Focus titles on that account. Achievements and Steam Cloud are listed too. None of those features replace a save from the demo; Focus is explicit that demo saves do not transfer.

Controller support is full on the store page, including DualSense. If you already finished the tutorial with a pad, you can keep the same layout on launch morning. If you learned on mouse and keyboard, the controls page is the place to re-learn recycle, camera, and HUD icons before you skip the tutorial. Skipping without knowing the recycle control is how a launch-day planet fills with idle factories.

For PC hardware, do not guess from the 3 GB install size. The published targets are 30 FPS at 1080p Low on the minimum card and 60 FPS at 1080p Ultra on the recommended card, with an SSD required in both rows. The system requirements page copies those rows and explains why a spinning disk is a bad idea even when the folder would fit.

Launch-morning checklist

Treat 3 September 2026 as a fresh planet, not a continuation. If you played the Steam demo, skip the tutorial in the full game. Charles will not need to re-teach salvage, solar, water, or the first incubator. If you never touched the demo, play the tutorial once. It is the same lesson the demo already contains; rushing it on launch morning is how pollution spikes before lunch.

Before you click through the guild screen, decide how you actually play. The demo uses a training path. The full game asks you to pick among Euler, Orin, Darwin, Xylar, and Umbra. If you overbuild, Euler. If you roam the hex map, Orin. If the Bestiary is the reason you bought the game, Darwin. If you live on the recycle control, Xylar. If you want a slow lore walk, Umbra. The guild picker is the decision tool; the guild tier list is the comparison grid. Do not pick in the download queue because a color looked nice.

After the guild, do not rebuild your demo sprawl from memory. Land, recycle wreckage, place the smallest solar and water spine that feeds one dome, then raise one species. Collective Requests are a to-do list, not a timer. There are no fail states. If the globe on the HUD looks sick by noon, recycle. That is the whole skill the restore the planet guide exists to repeat.

Download size is small by 2026 standards — 3 GB on an SSD — so the bottleneck is more likely a storefront queue than your disk. Install the Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch 2 client the night before if you can. Join the Focus Discord from the Links Hub if you want other Keepers on the same morning; do not treat Discord rumors as patch notes. This Updates Hub will add a real notes page when Broken Arms Games publishes one.

One more boundary: launch morning is not the time to mix carnivores and herbivores, chain extra Orb Factories, or open every biome tab at once. Play the campaign as a 15–20 hour restoration, not a speedrun. The planet can wait. You already practiced, or you are about to. Either way, the date is 3 September 2026, the platforms are four, and the demo planet stays in the demo.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which platforms get BioEden on 3 September 2026?

Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, same day. Older FAQ text that said consoles later is outdated; storefronts are listed on Links.

How much does BioEden cost, and is there a pre-order deal?

The listed band is $21.99 / £17.99 / €21.99. Steam has offered a 9% pre-order discount until launch. Confirm the live number on the storefronts in Links.

Should I skip the tutorial on launch morning?

Yes, if you already finished the playable Steam demo. Demo saves do not transfer. If you never played it, run the tutorial once; the demo guide is the rehearsal.

What should I do before I start building?

Pick a guild with the guild picker, then follow Getting Started instead of rebuilding your demo sprawl.

Does the full game list Steam Cloud, achievements, and DualSense?

Yes. Steam also lists Family Sharing and full controller support. PC specs sit on system requirements.
